Mamosta Zana Khoshman was transferred to Naghdeh prison to serve his sentence
On December 13, 2023, Mamosta Zana Khoshman, a native of Pasveh and a resident of Shinabad Piranshahr, was transferred to Naghdeh prison to serve his sentence.
This Kurdish cleric was accused of "acting against national security by joining one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government" and was sentenced to two years and one month of imprisonment by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad, headed by Judge "Amir Ojaghlou".
This verdict was officially communicated to Mamusta Zana on June 16, 2023.
On October 20, 2023, Mamosta Zana Khoshman and his wife Senur Ghaderi were arrested by security forces.
Mamosta Zana was transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation and Senur Ghaderi, the wife of this Kurdish cleric, was released after two days of detention.
This cleric was deprived of access to a lawyer and meeting with his family during his detention.
Mamosta Zana Khoshman was transferred to Naghdeh prison after completing the interrogation process and then was temporarily released on bail.
Mamosta Zana Khoshman was previously the imam of the village of "Yunus Lian" in Oshnavieh, the village of "Kohneh Qaleh" in Naghdeh, and the village of "Shakhtan" in Piranshahr.
He was also a teacher at the Salah al-Din Ayoubi Piranshahr School of Religious Sciences for several years.
