Sohrab Avizkan was transferred to Mahabad prison to serve his sentence

On December 10, 2023, Sohrab Avizkan, a protester from Mahabad, was transferred to the prison of this city to serve his sentence.
In May 2023, this protester was sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad to three years in prison and six years of exile to the city of Zanjan on charges of "gathering and colluding to disrupt national security" and "disrupting public order and tranquility".
Sohrab Avizkan was arrested by security forces in November 2023 during the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi at the Freedom Square of Mahabad and was transferred to one of the security detention centers of Urmia for interrogation.
This citizen was transferred to Mahabad prison after the end of the interrogation period.
