The prison sentence of Azad Khanchazar, a labor and social activist in Marivan, was upheld by the Court of Appeal

The fourth branch of the Kurdistan Province Court of Appeal on October 26, 2023, by rejecting the appeal of this labor and social activist, declared the verdict against him final.
The Marivan Revolutionary Court, based on the reports of the Intelligence Department of this city, had sentenced Mr. Khanchazar to six months of correctional imprisonment on charges of "propaganda against the system through cyberspace" with the inclusion of previous detention days.
Azad Khanchazar was arrested without a judicial order at his home by security forces on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, and was released from Marivan prison on Tuesday, February 19 of the same year by depositing a bail.
