Mashhad; Confirmation of Sakineh Parvaneh's sentence of seven years and six months of imprisonment in the Court of Appeal
The seven-year and six-month prison sentence of Sakineh Parvaneh, a political prisoner imprisoned in Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad, was confirmed by Branch 35 of the Court of Appeals of Khorasan Razavi Province.
According to a source informed to Kurdpa, the 35th branch of the Khorasan Razavi Province's Court of Appeal has confirmed the sentence of seven years and six months of imprisonment for political prisoner Sakineh Parvaneh. She is currently imprisoned in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
Recently, Ms. Parvaneh was sentenced to seven years and six months of imprisonment by the first branch of Mashhad's Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Hadi Mansouri, on charges such as "gathering and collusion against national security, propaganda against the Islamic Republic system, and insulting the leadership".
Earlier, Herana had reported that despite being represented by Mr. Khosro Alikordi, a judicial attorney, during the trial session on charges against his client, the head of Mashhad's Revolutionary Court's first branch prevented this judicial attorney from attending the court session.
Ms. Parvaneh was arrested in April 2023 after visiting the grave of Ali Mozafari, one of the victims of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi in Quchan County. She was transferred to the intelligence detention center of this city and eventually transferred to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad after twelve days of detention. She has a history of arrest and conviction for her activities. In mid-2019, she was arrested by IRGC intelligence agents and was eventually sentenced to five years in prison and two years' deprivation from political activities by Tehran's Revolutionary Court. She was released following an amnesty directive issued in February 2023.
