This social work graduate was arrested on August 5, 2023, in Tehran by security forces and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison.

According to a source informed to Kurdpa, Ms. Azizi has been deprived of access to lawyers, phone calls, and visits with her family since her arrest.

On November 8, the website "Bitavan" belonging to the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran reported the arrest of Pakhshan Azizi, Vrisheh Moradi, and Sirvan Mohammadrezaei on charges of "membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties to the Iranian government".

Vrisheh Moradi (Jwana Sineh), a Kurdish women's activist, was arrested on August 2, 2023, near Sanandaj by security forces and there is no information about her fate.

Also, Pakhshan Azizi was arrested on November 16, 2009, in a protest rally of Kurdish students at Tehran University against political executions in Kurdistan by security forces and was released on bail after four months of temporary detention.

This Kurdish women's activist had left Iran for a while and had been living in the Kurdistan region of Iraq in recent years.
