The death sentence of a prisoner was executed in Urmia Central Prison

On the morning of Thursday, November 8th, the death sentence of a prisoner named "Akbar Farrokhi" from Urmia was carried out in the central prison of this city.

This Turkish citizen was transferred to the solitary confinement cell of Urmia prison on Tuesday, November 6th, along with another prisoner named "Amin Khorshidi" from the village of "Nargi" in the region of Margur Urmia for the execution of the death sentence.

Amin Khorshidi was released followed by obtaining the consent of the victim's family.

Mr. Khorshidi was arrested 14 years ago on the charge of "intentional murder" of one of his fellow villagers and was sentenced to death by the judicial authorities and Akbar Farrokhi was also arrested about four years ago on the charge of "intentional murder" and sentenced to death.

So far, the news of the execution of Akbar Farrokhi has not been announced by the official authorities or the media inside Iran.
