The continuation of the detention and indecision of two Kurdish citizens detained in Urmia prison
Two Kurdish citizens named "Siamak Hiyasi" and "Alan Daghdar" from the village of "Hajiabad" in the suburbs of Bukan are still being held in Urmia prison without charge after more than six months of detention. According to an informed source: These two citizens were transferred from one of Urmia's security detention centers to the city's prison after five months of detention and are still being held without charge. The source also stated that these two citizens have been deprived of access to their chosen lawyer so far.
On April 19th,2023, security forces arrested Siamak Hiyasi without a judicial order and searched his home after his arrest. Security forces have confiscated some of Mr. Hiyasi's personal belongings, including his laptop, mobile phone, and flash memory.
On April 18th, 2023, Alan Daghdar was also arrested by security forces at his workplace without a judicial order.
So far, no accurate information has been obtained about the reason for the arrest and charges against these two Kurdish citizens.
