On October 30, 2022, Komar Daroftadeh, a 16-year-old teenager from Zivkeh village in Piranshahr and a resident of this city, was shot by a large number of bullets from behind by suppressive government forces during the Piranshahr protests and lost his life.
On the 44th day of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi, and after holding the fortieth ceremony of Jina-Mahsa Amini's government murder on October 30, 2022, the protests turned into an important turning point and most cities in Kurdistan and Iran entered a widespread phase of protests. The Islamic Republic suppressed the protests severely from the first days, took Komar Daroftadeh's life during the 44 days of the people's protests in Kurdistan, and committed government murder of 53 Kurdish citizens since the beginning of the people's protests in Kurdistan.
Kurdpa has briefly reviewed how Komar Daroftadeh was killed on the anniversary of his government murder as one of the victims of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi in Piranshahr.
Piranshahr / Komar Daroftadeh's government murder at age 16;
On October 30, 2022, Komar Daroftadeh, a 16-year-old teenager from Zivkeh village in Piranshahr and a resident of this city, was shot by a large number of bullets from behind by suppressive government forces during the Piranshahr protests and lost his life.
The body of this 16-year-old teenager was handed over to his family after being transferred to Piranshahr Hospital and on, November 1st, 2022, his funeral was held in his hometown "Zivkeh".
Hassan Daroftadeh's speech, father of this slain teenager was one of the most important speeches in families' litigation. Mr. Daroftadeh said in his speech; "My son was born on August 16th and I named him Komar. I am happy that he has become a martyr on the path to freedom and soil. I am happy that he became a martyr. Since last night my heart has been torn apart but he became a martyr for this soil and freedom. They will kill all of us by God. He was innocent. They will not have mercy on anyone." The father of this slain teenager was arrested without judicial order due to this speech and litigation with security forces who raided his home and was released after several hours of interrogation
The family of Komar has been under pressure, threatened, and detained by security forces several times over the past year due to their child's blood feud.
On August 12, 2023, Hassan Daroftadeh was summoned to the Piranshahr Intelligence Office and interrogated. Security forces threatened him to refrain from holding Komar's birthday ceremony on August 16. On the day of Komar's birthday, security forces stood in the middle of the road with a birthday cake and other items to prevent the family from reaching Komar's grave and forced them to return home.
On the eve of the anniversary of Jina-Mahsa Amini's government murder, on August 21, 2023, Hassan and Mardin Daroftadeh, Komar's father and brother, were summoned to the Piranshahr Intelligence Office and interrogated for two hours by security forces. The Daroftadeh family was threatened by security forces to refrain from "participating in ceremonies" and "engaging in virtual activities" on the anniversary of the protests in Jin, Jiyan, Azadi.
Also, one day before the anniversary of Komar's government murder (October 29, 2023), Hassan Daroftadeh, the father of this slain teenager, was summoned again to the Piranshahr Intelligence Office and threatened and interrogated. Security forces threatened him that they do not have permission to hold a ceremony or engage in virtual activities on the anniversary of his son's government murder.
"Love freedom more than anything else," was one of Komar Daroftadeh's most important Instagram stories that was also inscribed on his tombstone.
