October 26, 2023; The anniversary of the state killing of Mohammad Lotfollahi, Mohammad Shariati, Keyvan Darvishi, Afshin Asham, and Smko Moloudi, the martyrs of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi in Sanandaj, Qasr-e Shirin and Mahabad
October 26, 2022, on the 40th day of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi and during the 40th anniversary of the state killing of Jina-Mahsa Amini, the public protests turned into an important turning point and most of the cities of Kurdistan and Iran entered a widespread stage of protests. The Islamic Republic, which had severely suppressed the protests from the first days, took the lives of 5 citizens on October 26, 2023, the 40th day of Jina's death, and had committed state killings of 47 Kurdish citizens in 40 days of public protests in Kurdistan.
Kurdpa has taken a brief look at how they were killed on the anniversary of the state killing of Mohammad Lotfollahi, Mohammad Shariati, Keyvan Darvishi, Afshin Asham, and Smko Moloudi, the martyrs of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi in Sanandaj, Qasr-e Shirin and Mahabad.
Sanandaj / State killing of Mohammad Lotfollahi;
On October 26, 2022, Mohammad Lotfollahi was arrested by the suppressive forces after being wounded in the "Naysar" neighborhood during the public protests in Sanandaj. He was severely beaten inside a van after being arrested and transferred to an unknown location. His body was delivered to his family on October 27, while signs of bruising and beating were visible on his body and it was not clear how many hours after his arrest he had died.
Sanandaj / State killing of Mohammad Shariati, 21 years old;
On October 26, 2023, Mohammad Shariati, 21 years old and from Sanandaj, was killed by a military bullet fired by the suppressive governmental forces during the protests in this city at "Beltway 25".
Sanandaj / State killing of Keyvan Darvishi, 42 years old;
On October 26, 2022, Keyvan Darvishi, 42 years old and from Sanandaj, was killed by direct fire of shotgun pellets by the suppressive forces during the public protests in this city at "Beltway 25". The funeral ceremony was held on the same night with the widespread presence of people chanting slogans of protest. While shotgun pellets were fired at vital parts of his body, in his legal medical certificate the cause of his death was stated as "cardiac arrest".
Qasr-e Shirin / State killing of Afshin Asham, 28 years old
On October 26, 2022, Afshin Asham, 28 years old and from the village of "Sorkhak Sanjabi" and a resident of "Paliabad" neighborhood in Qasr-e Shirin was killed by direct fire by the suppressive governmental forces during the public protests in this city.
The suppressive forces kidnapped his body after he was killed and transferred it to Sepah Nabi Akbar Kermanshah. Eventually, security agencies demanded bail of 250 million Tomans for delivering his body to his family.
On October 28th, his funeral ceremony was held in the village of "Sorkhak Sanjabi" in Qasr-e Shirin with a widespread presence of people and chanting slogans of protest.
Mahabad / State killing of Ismail (Smko) Moloudi, 35 years old;
On October 26th, Ismail (Smko) Moloudi,35 years old and from Mahabad was killed by direct fire by the suppressive forces during the protests in this city. The funeral ceremony was held on the same night with a widespread presence of people chanting slogans of protest.
After Smko's death, Jalal Mahmoudzadeh, the representative of Mahabad in the Islamic Republic parliament, pressured Moloudi's family to file a complaint against one of the Kurdish parties as responsible for their son's death.
