Prison of Naghadeh; deprivation of a civil activist from access to a designated lawyer
Jamal Alizadeh, a civil activist from Piranshahr who is serving his sentence in Naghadeh prison, has been deprived of access to a designated lawyer due to the opposition of the prosecutor of Piranshahr.
According to an informed source of Kurdpa, this Kurdish civil activist has been deprived of access to a designated lawyer during the judicial proceedings and after the execution of the verdict, the prosecutor of Piranshahr has also opposed the appointment of a lawyer for his case.
On August 29, Mr. Alizadeh was transferred to Naghadeh prison for the execution of his imprisonment sentence.
This civil activist was sentenced to 30 months in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad, presided over by Judge "Ajaghlou", on charges of "collaborating with hostile media" in March 2023.
On October 18, 2022, security forces raided Jamal Alizadeh's house and arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant.
Mr. Alizadeh was transferred to the detention center of the Intelligence Department of Urmia for interrogation and after completing the interrogation stages, he was transferred to Naghadeh prison.
On February 12, 2023, this citizen was temporarily released from Naghadeh prison until the end of the judicial proceedings by depositing a bail of three billion Tomans.
