On October 20, 2022, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, 22 years old, and Ramin Karami, 31 years old, were killed by the repressive government forces during the protests in Saqqez and Kermanshah. Seyed Mohammad Hosseini was killed by baton blows (probably) and Ramin Karami was murdered by direct shooting by the suppression forces.

On October 20, 2022, on the 34th day of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi following the government killing of Jina-Mahsa Amini, protests had spread and most of the cities of Kurdistan and Iran were the scene of protests. The Islamic Republic severely suppressed the protests from the beginning and from September 19 to October 20, 2022, killed 41 Kurdish citizens.

Saqqez / Governmental  killing of Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, 22 years old;

On October 20, 2022, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, 22 years old and from Saqqez, was killed probably by baton blows by the security-repressive forces during the protests in this city. The security agencies forced the family to remain silent about his death for months by threatening to "annihilate" their other children and "make all the young people of the tribe miserable".

Seyed Mohammad Hosseini was targeted for governmental killing by the security-repressive forces due to his participation in the protests. He was a taxi driver. He left home at one-thirty in the morning on October 20th following a phone call from a passenger with a very high price. In the "Gawakh" district of Saqqez, he was severely beaten by baton blows from behind by the security repressive forces then after an unknown process that led to his death, they put him in his car and informed the family of his death as suicide the next day. Later, Mohammad's body was transferred to the hospital and forensic medicine, but no sheet was delivered to the family and even the family's visit to forensic medicine for a clear answer did not result. The security repressive forces also threatened the family to announce that their son had committed suicide. The threats went so far that Mr. Hosseini's mother was threatened that if she did not accept the demands of the security repressive forces, they would not deliver her son's body and they would "annihilate" her other son.

Finally, Mohammad's body was delivered to the family under severe threats and in the dark of night and with the presence of security forces and pressure to say that he had committed suicide. Otherwise, they would "make miserable" all the young people of the tribe and their other children would also be "annihilated". He was buried in Aychi cemetery in Saqqez.

Malihe Hassan-Nejad, Mohammad's mother who had a stroke due to her son's government killing died on July 9th after being hospitalized in a coma for seven months. It was after Mrs. Hosseini's death that his government killing was revealed and Kurdpa decided to follow up on all the details of this governmental killing.

The severe pressure on Mr. Hosseini's family, threatening to "annihilate" their eldest son and "disappear their entire family" led to their long silence about his government killing.

On the other hand, his exact name and surname with another one of Saqqez's martyrs caused his governmental killing not to be revealed for months. On October 12th, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini from Saqqez (a different person) was killed during the protests and when he protested against security forces shooting at people, he was run over twice at high speed by their car and lost his life.

Seyed Mohammad Hosseini son of Seyed Hadi and Seyyedeh Maliheh was born on April 21st, 2000 in Saqqez. He worked as a taxi driver

He has been described as a "very active", "fearless" and "brave" person during his participation in the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azadi.

Other information has reached Kurdpa that Seyed Mohammad Hosseini was arrested that night which is being further investigated.
