Mahabad/ The transfer of Reza Andisheh to Mahabad prison, and the lack of any information about the fate of Ashkan Fahim after a month
On Monday, October 16, 2023, one month after the violent arrest of Reza Andisheh, a civil activist, and Ashkan Fahim, a literary and cultural activist, by the forces of the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Organization, Mr. Andisheh was transferred to Mahabad prison, and there is still no information about the fate of Ashkan Fahim
These two Kurdish citizens were arrested at 4:00 a.m. on the 15th of September 2023 with the raid of more than 60 armed forces of the IRGC Intelligence Organization on Ashkan Fahim's home. By besieging the alley where Ashkan lives and breaking the door and windows of his house, the IRGC forces resorted to severe violence and beat the two young men with the buttstock of the guns, and arrested them while they were injured and bleeding.
According to an informed source to Kurdpa: The IRGC forces beat them to such an extent that Ashkan Fahim was transferred by a blanket to one of the IRGC's security detention centers in Urmia.
Also, Mr. Fahim has a history of heart disease and his family is worried about his health. They hope to hear their son's voice even just for 10 seconds so that says he is fine.
Although Ashkan's family has visited the detention centers and courts in Urmia and Mahabad many times in the past weeks, they still have no information about the reason for their children's detention, where they are imprisoned, and their health condition. But so far no security department or official has responded to them.
The source says that due to the complete ignorance of the fate of Ashkan Fahim, he may be kept in the security detention center "Douquz Pele" in Urmia. "This detention center is known as a torture center and its location is not known to anyone".
Kurdpa has no information about this detention center and is currently investigating it.
