Saqqez; Arrest of Naser Sargeran, a lawyer and university lecturer, by security forces

On October 11, 2023, Naser Sargeran, a blind lawyer, university lecturer, and activist for disabled people's rights, was arrested by security forces and transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office detention center for interrogation.

Security forces raided the home of this lawyer in Saqqez without presenting a judicial warrant and arrested him.

This university lecturer has had a short phone call with his family so far and has been deprived of access to a lawyer and meeting with his family.
