Sakineh Parvaneh was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison

According to Hrana news agency, Sakineh Parvaneh, a political prisoner in Mashhad's Vakil Abad prison, was sentenced to seven years and six months behind the bars by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad.

According to the verdict that was recently issued by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad headed by Judge "Hadi Mansouri" and was given to this Kurdish political prisoner, she was charged with "gathering and colluding against the security of the country, propagating against the Islamic Republic of Iran and insulting the supreme Leader" has been sentenced to a total of seven years and six months of imprisonment. 

Hrana, quoting an informed source, stated: "Despite the fact that Khosrow Alikurdi, a lawyer, is responsible for Ms. Parvaneh's case, the head of the first branch of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court on the day of the hearing on his client's charges, prevented this lawyer from attending the court room.

In April of this year, Sakineh Parvaneh was arrested after attending the grave of Ali Mozafari, one of the martyrs of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jian, and Azadi in city of Quchan  and was transferred to the IRGC intelligence detention center of this city. She was finally transferred to Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad after twelve days of detention in this security department.

In addition She has previously been arrested and convicted for her activities. Mrs. Parvaneh was arrested by IRGC intelligence agents in the second half of 2018. She was finally sentenced by Tehran Revolutionary Court to 5 years of imprisonment and as an additional punishment to 2 years of ban from participating in any political gathering. She was released at the end of February 2023, following the issuance of the "Amnesty" circular.
