Reza Nazari Kakvandi, an actor, Director, and theater producer, has been prohibited from participating in the performing arts by the order of the Department of Performing Arts within the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. He will not be allowed to work as an artist until further notice.

According to a reliable source, this 25-year-old actor was notified of this decision by the Department of Performing Arts on Thursday, October 5th.

On September 21, 2023, he was arrested by intelligence forces in Shahryar, Karaj, due to his social media activities and support for people's demands. He endured severe torture in an intelligence detention center in an attempt to extract a forced confession from him.

Mr. Nazari Kakvandi was released from Tehran prison on September 30th after completing his interrogation and clarifying the charges against him.

Reza (Havir) Nazari Kakvandi hails from Harsin city, located in Kermanshah province, and is a resident of Shahryar, Karaj.
