On Friday evening, August 11th, Reza Babranjad, the brother of Mehdi Babranjad, a victim of the Revolutionary uprising for Woman, Life, Freedom, was detained in Quchan by the Intelligence forces of the Revolutionary Guards and taken to an undisclosed location.
According to an informed source, the Intelligence forces of the Revolutionary Guards raided Reza Babranjad's family home and arrested him without any judicial warrant.
The source added that the security forces, while breaking windows, confiscated some personal belongings of this citizen and took them away.

On September 21, 2022, during the Revolutionary uprising for Woman, Life, Freedom, Mehdi Babranjad, a 22-year-old Kurdish citizen from Quchan, lost his life due to the firing of repressive forces.
Security forces handed over Mehdi's body to his family after three days, with a written commitment. His burial ceremony was held under strict security measures in the village of "Sharak," a suburb of Quchan.
