Assassination of Siyamand Shaboui, the third member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan within six days in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq
Siyamand Shaboui, a member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, was assassinated in the city of Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan announced in a statement that "Siyamand Shaboui had disappeared since Tuesday, July 11th, and after informing the relevant authorities, unfortunately, his lifeless body was found in the vicinity of Baharka neighborhood near Erbil on Wedensday afternoon, July 12th."
The Democratic Party, while condemning the abduction and assassination of Siyamand Shaboui by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran, calls on the Federal Government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government not to allow the country to be turned into a battleground for terrorist groups, as the previous Iranian government did, and not to let state terrorism of the Islamic Republic threaten the lives of political activists, members, and supporters of Kurdish parties in Iranian Kurdistan.
The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan also urges governments, political forums, human rights organizations, and human rights defenders to condemn the terrorist actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to increase the cost of these assassinations for this government through pressure and actions.
Siyamand Shaboui, born in 1986, is the son of Qader and from the village of Shahwaneh in the vicinity of Oshnovieh.
In addition, on Friday morning, July 7th, two members of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan named "Lokman Aji" and "Adel (Sarbaz) Mahajer" were assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
