Ayoub Aghaliani, a protester from Oshnaiveh, was released on bail of 21 billion and 250 million tomans

On Monday, June 26th, a 22-year-old protester named Ayoub Aghaliani, son of Jahangir, from Oshnaiveh, was temporarily released from Urmia Central Prison after depositing bail of 21 billion and 250 million tomans.

According to an informed source, Judge Reza Najafzadeh of the Third Branch of the Urmia Revolutionary Court had set this heavy bail for the temporary release of the protester.

This protester has been banned from visitations recently and has been in contact with his family through phone calls.
 On January 15, 2023, Mr. Aghaliani was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months of imprisonment and 70 lashes by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court in Oshnaiveh.

The court session to address the charges against this citizen was held via video conference without access to a lawyer, and he was sentenced to four years of imprisonment for "participating in and conspiring to commit a crime against the country's internal security," one year of imprisonment and 70 lashes for "disrupting public order and tranquility," one year and six months of imprisonment for "destroying public property," and four years of imprisonment for "participating in deliberate arson of public property." The court had ordered thehighest  execution of the sentence, taking into account his previous days of detention.

Furthermore, in February 2023, Ayoub Aghaliani was sentenced to one year and five months of imprisonment by Branch 106 of the Criminal Court in Urmia on charges of "destroying public property with the intention of confronting the system and disrupting public order and tranquility."

on Saturday, March 11, 2023, This protester was also tried in Branch 3 of the Urmia Revolutionary Court on charges of "disrupting public order and tranquility (disturbing public order with noise and commotion) and destroying public property with the intention of confronting the Islamic system (waging armed rebellion against the Islamic government)"  and no verdict has been issued regarding this matter so far.

This Kurdish citizen from Oshnaiveh was arrested by security forces on Friday, October 7, 2022.
