Mullah Madah Karami Sentenced to One Year Suspended Imprisonment
On Sunday, May 21st, Mullah Madah Karami, the Imam prayer leader and religious figure of the village "Huyyah" near Sanandaj, was sentenced to one year of suspended imprisonment for a duration of two years by the Special Clerical Court of Hamedan.
According to an informed source, this Kurdish cleric has been released on bail after the court session and issuance of the verdict.
Mullah Madah Karami had received a summons to appear in the Special Clerical Court of Hamedan in recent days.
On Tuesday, January 16, 2023, Mullah Madah Karami was summoned to the court of Shoeshah city, and judicial officers announced to this Kurdish cleric that his case had been referred to the Special Clerical Court of Hamedan on charges of "propaganda against the system and support for protests," "disruption of public order," and "disturbing public minds."
