Urmia prison; the Mohayyedin Ebrahimi's family's last meeting with him before his execution

Today, Thursday, March 16, 2023 , the family of  Mohayyedin Ebrahimi, a political prisoner sentenced to death, visited him in Urmia prison for the last meeting before his execution.

 According to an informed source to Kurdpa, Urmia prison officials have called Mohayyedin Ebrahimi's family to visit Urmia prison for the last meeting before his execution. The prison officials also said that Mr. Ebrahimi's death sentence will be executed soon.

 On Wednesday, March 15th, Mohayyedin Ebrahimi, a political prisoner sentenced to death from the city of Oshnavieh, was transferred to solitary confinement from the political and religious prisoners ward of Urmia prison to execute the death sentence.

 On Tuesday, March 14th, this political prisoner sentenced to death was transferred to solitary confinement and then returned to prison.

 This political prisoner was transferred to IRGC intelligence detention center on Monday, May 23, 2022, and returned to Urmia prison on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

 Also, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, Mohayyedin Ebrahimi was transferred from the political prisoners ward of Urmia prison to the detention center of the Intelligence Department of this city and after being questioned about the internal issues of the Urmia prison, he was returned to the prison on Thursday, November 25th of the same year.

 In September 2020, the death sentence of  Mohayyedin Ebrahimi, a Kurdish political prisoner from the village of "Alkawi" in Oshnavieh, was approved by the 19th branch of the Supreme Court in Tehran.

 This political prisoner was sentenced to death by the second branch of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia on the charge of "rebellion and membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government" and the Supreme Court confirmed this verdict.

 The case of this political prisoner has been referred to the court of his residence after confirming the verdict in the Supreme Court.

 This political prisoner was sentenced to death for the second time by the second branch of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia, and on Saturday, January 18, 2020, this political prisoner was summoned to the central prison of Urmia and this sentence was announced to him.

 The death sentence of this political prisoner was overturned by the Supreme Court in March 2019 and his case was referred to the second branch of the Urmia Revolutionary Court for retrial.

 The retrial of this political prisoner's case was held in the second branch of the Urmia Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Shekhlou, and he was sentenced to death once again on the charge of "infidelity and membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government".

  on November November 3, 2017, this political prisoner was wounded after being shot by the military forces of the Iranian government and then arrested.

 After being wounded, this Kurdish political prisoner was transferred to a hospital in Urmia, and without completing the treatment, he was transferred to the intelligence detention center of Seyyed al-Shohda Corps in Urmia, where he was interrogated and beaten on the charge of "collaboration and membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government."  

 On August 20, 2018, the trial of Mohayyedin Ebrahimi was held in the second branch of the Urmia Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Shekhlou, without access to a designated lawyer, and on September 23rd, a death sentence was issued on the charge of "cooperation and membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government."  It was officially announced to him.

 In 2010, this Kurdish citizen was arrested on the charge of "collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties" and was released from Urmia prison after serving his sentence.

Also, in 2017, the brother of this Kurdish political prisoner named "Nouradin Ebrahimi" lost his life due to the direct shooting of government soldiers while carrying goods.
