Qasereshirin; Two protesters were sentenced to imprisonment and flogging

Two protesting citizens named "Payman Shirbandi" 43 years old son of Mohammad Ali and "Mahdi Faqiri Qoli Laleh" 25 years old son of Mohammad were sentenced in absentia by Branch 101 of the Qasreshirin Criminal Court 2 presided over by Judge "Javad Khosravi" each was sentenced to eight months imprisonment and 50 whipping.

 The court accused these two protestors of "disturbance of public peace and order through unusual movements and commotion and preventing people from doing business" and citing Article 618 of the Islamic Penal Code approved in 1996, these two citizens were sentenced to eight months in discretionary prison and sentenced to 50 lashes (deducting and including the previous detention days).

 The verdict issued against these two protestors on January 29th was in absentia and within twenty days after notification, it can be appealed in Branch 101 of the Criminal Court of Two Qasreshirin, and after the expiry of the said deadline, within twenty days it can be appealed in the appeal courts of Kermanshah province.

 These two citizens were arrested by the security forces during Qasreshirin protests and released on bail after completing the interrogation process.
