nationwide protests; Negar Davoudi was sentenced to imprisonment and additional punishments
Negar Davoudi, a Kurdish student from Ilam, has been sentenced to a total of two years and three months in prison, 74 lashes, a two-year ban on leaving the country, and other additional punishments by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court and the 103rd Branch of the Second Criminal Court of this city.
The court session of this citizen was held on December 28th in the form of a video conference in the first branch of the Ilam Revolutionary Court and the 103rd branch of the Criminal Court of Ilam.
Ms. Davoudi was sentenced to two years in prison on "gathering and collusion to commit crimes against internal/external security and to one year of free work for the welfare department on "insulting the leadership" by the first branch of the Ilam Revolutionary Court headed by Judge "Rajb Mohammadi".
Also, this Kurdish student was sentenced to three months in prison on "disturbance of public order and comfort, 74 lashes and two years of ban from leaving the country and participating in education classes and Qur'an interpretation for 200 hours with a certificate and confirmation from the Islamic Propaganda Organization of Ilam province by the 103rd branch of the Criminal Court of Ilam headed by "Yaser Khalafi".
Branch 103 of the Criminal Court of Ilam, due to the lack of a criminal record, has converted the sentence of three months of imprisonment and 74 lashes of this citizen into a fine of 240 million Rials to the government fund.
Negar Davoudi, a software student of Ilam University, was arrested by the security forces at her family home on November 15th and taken to the detention center of the Ilam Intelligence Department.
After a week of detention and the completion of the interrogation process, this Kurdish citizen was transferred to the women's ward of Ilam Central Prison and was released on December 18th after posting a bail of 500 million tomans and a temporary surety until the end of the proceedings.
