Mullah Saifullah Hosseini was sentenced to imprisonment, whipping, exile and removal of clerical clothes

Mullah Saifullah Hosseini, the imam of Khatam al-Anbia mosque in the city of Javanrud, was sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment, 74 lashes, 2 years of exile to Ardabil, and removal of his clerical clothes by the special clerical court in Hamadan.

 This Kurdish cleric was sentenced to 6 years in prison on the charges of "membership of the Quran School of Kurdistan", and to 15 months in prison on "propaganda activity against the regime", and to 6 years in prison on "inciting people to disturb the security of the country", and to two years and 6 months on "insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and  "Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran", and to 15 months of imprisonment on "disruption of public order"  and 74 lashes and removal of clerical clothes and to 2 years of exile to Ardabil.

 This verdict was delivered to the family of this Kurdish cleric on Wednesday, January 25th.

 In the morning of Tuesday, December 13th, the security forces raided the house of Mullah Saifullah Hosseini and arrested him by resorting to violence.

 Security forces broke the hands of Khaton Qadri, the wife of this cleric, while entering the house of Mullah Saifullah, and she was immediately taken to the hospital.

 After his arrest, this cleric was transferred to the Kermanshah Nabi Akram Army detention center.

 Following the arrest of Mullah Saifullah Hosseini, the people of Javanrud gathered in front of the governor of this city and demanded the immediate release of this Kurdish cleric.

 Mullah Saifullah Hosseini is a member of Kurdistan Qur'an School.
