Iran judiciary seized inheritance of Kurdish political activist

Kurdpa Agency: The Iran Judiciary in Saqez seized a Kurdish political activist\'s inheritance.


Based on a report received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), the Iran regime Judiciary in Saqez seized the inheritance of “Fatih Salehi” a 40-year-old Kurdish political activist.

According to an informed source, the judiciary in Saqez seized Mr. Salehi’s inheritance due to his political activism against the Iran regime.

The Judiciary appealed to Article 49 of the Iran constitution in making this decision. The Court has further said that Mr. Salehi has to appear before the court on 12 June 2018 to either petition the decision or file a defense. The court will decide in this case whether he is present or not.

Mr. Salehi, a political activist, and journalist played a key role in the theater in the city. He had to flee the country in 2006 due to pressure from the regime. Mr. Salehi is a member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan - one of the main opposition parties of the Iranian government.

Mr. Salehi currently resides in Germany.
