A young Kurdish man was sentenced to six years in discretionary imprisonment
Kurdpa Agency: The first branch of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court sentenced a young Kurd from Tangi Sar village to six years in discretionary prison.
According to a report by the Kurdistan Press Agency, a young Kurdish man named Afshar Fathi, son of Ahmad from the village of Tangisar, Javavrud district of Sanandaj, was sentenced to six years in discretionary prison by the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court.
This young man has been sentenced to five years in discretionary imprisonment on charges of "membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government" and one year in discretionary imprisonment on charges of "acting against national security".
This young man was arrested in mid-March 2019 on charges of "cooperating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government" and was temporarily released on bail on Wednesday, March 27th.
