A Kurdish citizen was sentenced to three years in prison
A Kurdish citizen named Farshad Fatahi, from Urmia, was sentenced to three years in prison by the Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court of this city, presided over by Judge Sheikhlou.
The court charged the citizen with "membership in religious groups." The trial of this citizen was held on January 27th, in the Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia, and on Wednesday, March 3rd, he was sentenced to three years in prison.
On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, this Kurdish citizen was transferred from the detention center of the Urmia Intelligence Office to the central prison of the city after completing his interrogation.
The citizen was arrested by the security forces on Thursday, September 24th, without any court order.
This Kurdish citizen is currently being held in the political prison of Urmia Prison.
