Soltanali Shirzadi-Fakhr was executed on charges of membership in the Mojahedin-e Khalq and cooperation with Israel

On the morning of Thursday, April 23, 2026, a political prisoner sentenced to death named "Soltanali Shirzadi-Fakhr" was secretly executed by the Islamic Republic of Iran in an unknown location without clear legal or human status and without informing his family or lawyer, on charges of "membership in the Mojahedin-e Khalq" and "espionage for Israel."

Mizan, the news agency affiliated with the Judiciary, while confirming the news of his execution, claimed; Soltanali Shirzadi-Fakhr was executed on charges of "membership in the Mojahedin-e Khalq and cooperation with Israel" following legal procedures and the upholding of the sentence by the Supreme Court.

This media outlet wrote that he was a long-standing member of the Mojahedin-e Khalq and had collaborated with them for years, having joined this party in Iraq in 1987.

In a related matter, on the morning of Wednesday, April 22, 2026, state media reported the execution of "Mehdi Farid," described as an official of Passive Defense in one of the sensitive organizations of the country, who was executed on charges of "espionage for Israel." Simultaneously, the Passive Defense Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement calling any "membership, responsibility, or position of Mehdi Farid" within the structure of this organization incorrect and denied it.
