September 29, 2026 — Yesterday, Ebrahim Kaleshi, a Kurdish construction worker from Balu village in Urmia County, lost his life after falling from height while working at a construction site.

An informed source confirmed the news to Kurdpa, stating: "On the morning of Monday, September 28, 2026, Ebrahim Kaleshi, a Kurdish citizen from Balu village in Urmia County, died due to a fall from height while engaged in construction work."

Ebrahim Kaleshi was married and the father of two children.

According to official statistics from the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization, 1,986 people died in workplace accidents during the Persian calendar year 1403 (2024–2025), with 957 cases (42%) attributed to falls from height. Additionally, in the first 11 months of 1404 (2025–2026), 1,879 workers lost their lives in occupational hazards, of which 931 cases (approximately 49.5%) were caused by falls from height.
