September 3, 2026; In recent days, Kurdish citizens "Omid Chawbaz," "Hadi Bayazidi," and "Sediq Karimi," who had been arbitrarily detained, were temporarily released after 20 days upon posting 4 billion Tomans bail each. Of the nine Boukan citizens arrested in August, seven remain in custody.

According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, "Omid Chawbaz," a Kurdish citizen from "Haji Lak" village near Boukan, and "Hadi Bayazidi," a 22-year-old Kurdish civil activist from Boukan, were temporarily released after 20 days of arbitrary detention upon posting 4 billion Tomans bail each.

The source added that within the first 24 hours of their arrest, they were transferred to an Intelligence security detention facility in Urmia. On August 31, 2026, after 19 days of detention and interrogation in solitary confinement, they were moved to the quarantine ward of Boukan Prison, leading to their temporary release on bail the following day, September 1.

Kurdpa previously reported that at 2:00 AM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, security forces arrested Omid Chawbaz in Haji Lak village without a judicial warrant and transferred him to an unknown location. That same morning, armed security forces raided the home of civil activist Hadi Bayazidi, arresting him without a warrant. During the raid, security forces vandalized home property and confiscated Mr. Bayazidi's personal belongings, including his laptop, mobile phone, and vehicle, without legal authorization.

In its monthly report for August 2026, Kurdpa noted that nine Kurdish citizens were arrested in Boukan within seven days: "Omid Chawbaz," "Sediq Karimi," "Hadi Bayazidi," "Peshwa Chamani," "Esmail Badsar," "Zakaria Badsar," "Hemen Manijeh," "Hossein Yousefi," and "Hossein Younesi."

As of the publication of this report, the underlying reasons for these arrests remain unknown, and security authorities have offered no official explanation.
