Saqqez; Shirko Hejazi, a civil activist, was released on bail

On December 14, Shirko Hejazi, a civil activist and head of the Saqqez football federation, was temporarily released from Saqqez prison by depositing a bail of two billion and 400 million tomans.

On December 13, this civil activist was transferred from the Sanandaj intelligence detention center to Saqqez prison.

Mr. Hejazi was under pressure from security forces to obtain forced confessions at the Sanandaj intelligence detention center and was also deprived of access to a lawyer.

On September 11, security forces arrested this civil activist without a judicial warrant and with violence in one of the streets near his workplace.

So far, no accurate information has been obtained about the reason for the arrest and the charges against Shirko Hejazi.
