Three Kurdish citizens were transferred to Bokan prison to serve their sentences
On December 12, three Kurdish citizens named "Kazem Mam Esmail", "Hossein Ahmadi" and "Younes Mahmoudzadeh" from Bokan were transferred to the prison of this city to serve their sentences.
These three citizens were tried in branch 101 of the criminal court of Bokan in January 2023 on charges of "membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties to the Iranian government and propaganda against the system" and according to the verdict, Kazem Mam Esmail was sentenced to one year in prison, Hossein Ahmadi to three years in prison and Younes Mahmoudzadeh to three years and eight months in prison.
These three Kurdish citizens were arrested by security forces on August 29, 2022, and transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation.
These people were temporarily released from Bokan prison after a few weeks of interrogation by depositing bail.
