Extension of Temporary Detention of an Elderly Citizen

On Saturday, September 23rd, the Piranshahr court extended the temporary detention of an elderly Kurdish citizen named "Mohammad Amin Mohammadi," aged 72, for another month.

According to an informed source, this elderly citizen is currently undergoing interrogation at the Urmia Intelligence Office detention center and has been deprived of access to a lawyer and visits with family members so far.

The source further added that the family of this citizen has no information about his fate, causing them great concern.

Mohammad Amin Mohammadi, a resident of Piranshahr, was detained on September 4th without any judicial order by security forces.

So far, there is no precise information available regarding the reasons for the detention and the charges against this Kurdish citizen.
