The Iran Security forces arrested a Kurd student in Illam

Kurdpa agency: The Iran security forces arrested and transferred a Kurdish citizen to an unknown location in Illam, Krmashan.
According to a report received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), on Wednesday 15th of August, Soheil Mohammadpour, a student at the University of “Bakhtri” in Illam was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to a source, Mohammadpour was detained after publishing an article criticizing the Basij involvement in the student’s cultural affairs.
There is no still no information available on the whereabouts and fate of Mohammadpour.
The Iran security forces also arrested and locked up another Kurdish citizen by the name of Hiedar Eliassi in Sarpelzahaw (Sarpulzahab) for two days.
Based on recorded statistics at Kurdpa, in the past year alone, 564 Kurdish citizens were arrested based on charges of political and civic activities, blogging, and environmental affairs. Out of the 564 detainees some 119 prisoners were sentenced to prison.
