Deadly car bomb explodes in Tehran

Kurdpa - A car bomb exploded in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Wednesday, killing at least one person and wounding several others.

State media quoted eyewitnesses as saying that a motorcyclist attached the bomb to a passing car before detonating the device.

It happened close to the Allameh Tabatai University in the east of the city.

The person killed is believed to be a professor who worked there.
