October 16, 2026; In a continuation of pressure exerted by security agencies on the families of political activists residing outside Iran, "Khalil Eini," father of "Seddigh Eini"—a political activist abroad and former political prisoner—has been summoned to the Oshnavieh Intelligence Department for the nth time in recent days. Following hours of interrogation accompanied by harassment, he faced threats stating that his son must not engage in activity on social media against the Islamic Republic of Iran from outside Iran; otherwise, his family in Iran will pay the price for his activities.

An informed source confirmed this news to Kurdpa, stating: "Khalil Eini," from the village of "Singan" in Oshnavieh County, has been repeatedly summoned, pressured, and interrogated by the city's Intelligence Department, with these pressures intensifying each time. According to this source, "Seddigh Eini's" mother was also instructed to report to the Intelligence Department. Pressures on this family persist continuously through psychological harassment and physical torment following summonses to the Intelligence Department.

Khalil Eini had previously been summoned to the Oshnavieh Intelligence Department multiple times. On June 12, 2026, he was summoned to this security agency and subjected to interrogation and pressure regarding his son, Seddigh Eini, who resides abroad, in an effort to force his return to Iran. Furthermore, on July 26, 2021, following Seddigh Eini's departure from Iran, forces from the Oshnavieh Intelligence Department summoned Khalil Eini and demanded that he return his son to Iran.

Seddigh Eini, Former Political Prisoner:

On August 12, 2017, Seddigh Eini was arrested without a judicial warrant by IRGC Intelligence security forces, and following the conclusion of his interrogation period in a security detention facility in Urmia, he was transferred to the city's prison. In January/February 2018, this political prisoner was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Military Court 1 of West Azerbaijan Province on charges of "espionage in favor of a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government" to 10 years of discretionary imprisonment and internal exile to Ardabil Prison. Following the confirmation of the verdict in the Supreme Court, he was exiled from Urmia Prison to Ardabil Prison. On July 20, 2021, he was granted furlough from Ardabil Prison upon posting a 2-billion-Toman bail, after which he departed Iran.

On December 28, 2024, pursuant to an order from the Criminal Sentence Enforcement Branch of the Military Prosecutorial Office of West Azerbaijan Province addressed to the Oshnavieh County Documents and Real Estate Registration Office, property provided as collateral for Seddigh Eini's 2-billion-Toman bail was listed for real estate sale in order to seize and confiscate the bail in favor of the government.

Seddigh Eini, son of Khalil, born in 1996 and from the village of "Singan" in Oshnavieh County, is a political activist residing outside Iran.
