October 17, 2026; Following 19 days since the violent arbitrary arrest of "Sharif Ashnab," a young Kurdish man from Malekshahi in Ilam Province, he has been transferred to Ilam Central Prison in recent days after being held in an undisclosed location for interrogation, and continues to be held in a state of indecision without the right to access legal counsel.

An informed source confirmed this news to Kurdpa, stating: "Sharif Ashnab," a young Kurdish man from Malekshahi, was arrested with physical violence by security forces without a judicial warrant on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, and was transferred to an undisclosed location. After several days of interrogation in an unknown detention center, he was transferred to Ilam Central Prison and is currently being held there in a state of indecision. During his detention and interrogation, he was deprived of the right to family visits and phone calls, and has not thus far been granted access to legal counsel.

As of the publication of this report, the reasons for this Kurdish citizen's arrest remain unknown, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard.
