Kurdpa Agency: A group of Kolbar (carriers) came under ambush of the Iran’s security forces in Sardasht.

According to reports received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa) on Wednesday, 14 June, a group of Kolbar (carrier) were shot at and killed by Iran’s security forces in Sardasht.

Kurdpa’s reporter in the city reported that the Kolbars were in the Betush area in the outskirts of Sardasht at the time of the shooting and no prior warnings were given to the Kolbars by the forces.

Sirwan Xanaxeli from Sardasht is the latest Kolbar killed by the Iran regime's forces.

According to the statistics recorded by Kurdpa, 66 Kolbars were killed and 88 others were injured in 2016. Three of those killed were only 16 and 17.

The direct shootings, killing and injuries of these Kolbars comes at a time where the Kurdish people in Kurdistan are forced into poverty by the state, and too many end up taking up this dangerous job to provide for their families and loved ones.

Experts, lawyers, human rights activists have long stated that these shootings are a direct violation of the existing rules and regulations, and those responsible for these shootings do so deliberately.
