Ilami journalist\'s one-year imprisonment verdict has just confirmed in the appeal court

Kurdpa Agency: one year sentence for a Kurdish journalist from Ilam was approved at fifth branch, Court of Appeals.

According to a report from the Kurdistan Presse Agency, Najaf Mahdipour, the owner and the managing director of the suspended two-weeks journal \"Bakhtar Zamin\", sentenced to one year in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Ilam on charges of \"propaganda against the regime and insulting the leadership\" This verdict was confirmed at the fifth branch of the Ilam Court of Appeal.

This Ilami journalist presented his last defenses in Ilam\'s Appeal Court on Saturday, April 13th.

This Kurdish journalist summoned to the Revolutionary Court of Ilam on September 4th 2018, and was sentenced to one year of imprisonment on charges of \"propaganda against the regime and insulting the leadership\".

The publication of the two-weeks journal \"Bakhtar Zamin\" has been suspended due to the publication of critical articles and materials from Iranian government officials on the situation of human rights and foreign policy.

Najaf Mahdipour, an expert in political science and candidate for the tenth parliamentary of Iran , whose qualifications were rejected by the Guardian Council for \"lack of faith and commitment to Islam and the Islamic Republic of Iran.\"
