Kurdpa Agency: The Mahabad Revolutionary Court sentenced a Kurdish teacher to 15 months in prison.

According to a report by the Kurdistan Press Agency, a Kurdish teacher, Yaser Amini Azar, the son of Ahmad, a teacher in Mahabad's schools, was sentenced to 15 months in prison by a revolutionary court,

The Quranic School Management Board has protested against the issued verdict to the Kurdish teacher: "The Mahabad Revolutionary Court has argued that the accused was convicted!  "By rejecting the ordinary appeal, the Court of Appeal affirms and upholds the appeal. The verdict is definitive. Therefore, the non-appeal judgment is hereby issued."

Yaser Amini Azar was arrested by the intelligence agents on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 while he was leaving the school and transferred to an unknown location.

This Kurdish teacher was accused of inciting students to close school during March of last year and encouraging teachers to attend sit-ins as a teacher of the first high school in Quds in Mahabad.

Also on November 12th, 2018, this Kurdish teacher was summoned and interrogated by the Mahabad Education Department for taking part in a nationwide sit-in.
